Fire up your starship and blast off in this classic shooting adventure for the N64
Starfox is a space shooting game that puts you in the cockpit of Fox McCloud, a hotshot pilot/animal whose goal is to defend space from enemies bent on invading and destroying planets. Your team of misfits consists of a frog, a bird, and a rabbit with a dog commander and it is Fox’s job to not only defeat his enemies by outmanuevering and outshooting, but also ensuring the safety of his fellow pilots. A player who’s aim is solid is rewarded with upgrades to their lasers and also gets bombs, which detonate a wide area.

What takes Starfox to the next level is the multiplayer gameplay. I always hate when games don’t let you play the story mode with more than one person, but Starfox lets up to four players take on the story campaign, which is much more fun that watching the CPU shoot down enemy aircraft by crashing into them. For more heated competition, deathmatch allows up to 4 people go head to head to see who’s the better pilot.
Overall, Starfox is a great game that is quick to beat but fun to play. I highly recommend it to anyone who has an N64.
